Footprints In The Sand

This poster caught my eye as I was just looking around the office of where I'm currently employed at. Actually the poster itself is not that eye-catching because it's colors have already faded due to the years it had spent hanging there on the wall but the message it contains brought tears to my eyes. I just want to share this with you even though I copied it without any permissions. Haha. Hope you'll like it as I did. ^_^

The story goes like this:
One night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord and across the sky flashes scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One was mine and the other was the Lord's.
When the last scene of my life appeared before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand and to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times in my life.
I asked the Lord about it:" LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you left me when I needed you most."
The Lord said:"My precious child, I love you... I never left you during your times of trial and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I was carrying you."

Finding Joy

I thought I've long gone lost the word joy. But God have been so kind as to help me relearn it. My past years have not been that good to me. They have changed me into something I'm not. Regretful things happened and misery greeted me almost everyday.  But right now, Christ and happiness rule my heart once more. I'm feeling a whole lot better now, especially from a little retreat that I have been to. Though there are still the ups and downs, I can still proudly say that I'm trying to face them bravely and with the help of the unlimited supply of strength from God, I hope someday I can overcome my weaknesses.
I have been wanting to write down a lot of things that's been happening in my life. The only thing is, I can't get all the words out and I don't have a clue to where to even begin.
Well...I guess I'll start with a simple Thank You.
Thank You for all things bright and beautiful, for helping hands and comfort and for people with warmth and joy. Thank You also for putting me in this place where I can be of service to others. It feels really good when I am able to help people. To be the one to sooth others' discomfort and pain and to be the one to reach out a hand and offer assistance. The smile on their faces is the only reward that I will never forget.
Well...this ends my little post, thank you for reading this. You are also another one of the things that I'm grateful for. 非常感谢您!

Going down the bleak roads of life,
Finding trouble looking at the bright side,
But never fear, never sigh,
God will always help you walk by.

The Frozen Time

Lying in the silence of the night,
thinking of what really is time.
Counting up one to five,
listening to the symphony of sighs.

Singing my heart with the rain,
pouring my feelings out in vain.
Following the rhythm of the sane,
waiting for something that never came.

Cold wind softly blowing by,
chilling my bones from inside.
Rustling leaves with a cry,
sending thunders with flashing lights.

Storm is in the moment of my mind,
crashing the waves of confusions aside.
Weary is the one being tossed and bound,
still finding shore, walking blinded.

Lucky is the one for when time finally stopped,
frozen in place for all eternity could have.
Condemned and buried in a gap,
forgotten forever in a snap.

Closing my eyes, thinking again of what is time,
pieces of metals and gears tick tocking by.
Drifting to somewhere peacefully chimed,
still lying in the silence of the night.

Loving the rain.

The Best Smile

A smile of kindness is a simple smile.
A smile for a stranger is a rare smile.
A smile of happiness is a wonderful smile.
A smile of love is a true smile.
A smile for a friend is a warm smile.
A smile of sadness is a hidden smile.
A smile with a bow is a polite smile.
A smile for humor is a cheerful smile.
A smile of depression is a masked smile.
A smile of a mother is a loving smile.
A smile of a father is a proud smile.
But a smile that lingers is the best smile.

Just smiling.
